- Michael Jackson: obvious reference. But, why? I guess it’s just cause he died last year.
- Madonna: obviously, obvious. Why? People said Born This Way sounds exactly the same as Madonna’s “Express Yourself” (which it does). So she put the Queen in the video in order to make it look like she actually wanted everyone to know this song “”“is inspired”“” by Madonna.
- Pink Floyd: not a band her fans would normally be into, so the reference is as obvious as it could be - the album cover. “The Dark Side of the Moon” itself was an interpretation of life, so Gaga just NEEDED to put it in the video. I mean, be original! And being original IS NOT wearing horrendous dresses, getting almost naked and singing lame pop songs, ALL THIS while trying to present to everyone what you think life is. In the end what you get is a billion of fans and none of them quite getting the idea of what the fuck you’re talking about.
